DULUTH, Ga. – Three individuals are in the top-5, and the Georgia Southern golf team is in first place after the first two rounds of the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic, completed Monday.
The Eagles will carry a 12-shot lead into the final round Tuesday and tee off at 9 a.m. Georgia State sits in second place, followed by Mercer, Winthrop, Chattanooga and UNCG. The Eagles shot a 1-over 569 as a team.

"It was a total team effort today, and all five guys shot 73 or better in one of the two rounds," said Georgia Southern coach Larry Mays. "This is what we've been looking for, and it's great to see our hard work pay off. We talked last night about playing as a team, and we did a good job of that today. We really hung in there in the second round, and I think the wind got the best of some of the teams out there."
