Georgia Southern Golf to Host Mizuno Southbridge Intercollegiate

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern golf team is set to host the Mizuno Southbridge Intercollegiate tournament, Monday through Tuesday, Oct. 15-16 at the par-72, 6,922-yard Southbridge Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.

Georgia Southern will entertain 14 other schools, including some of the top programs in the region.  The field includes: Appalachian State, Armstrong Atlantic State, Davidson, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Elon, Furman, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Toledo, Winthrop, Western Carolina, Wofford and host Georgia Southern.

The activities will commence Sunday afternoon (Oct. 14) with a practice round that begins at 1 p.m.  Thirty-six holes will be played Monday (Oct. 15) with a first round shotgun start at 8 a.m.  The second round will be continuous play following the first.  Tuesday’s (Oct. 16) final 18 holes will begin with an 8 a.m. split tee start.
