Tinsley Earns Georgia 811 "Lineman of the Week" for Performance Against Wofford
STATESBORO, Ga. - With 42.9 percent of the vote in last week's poll, Eagle fans selected defensive Lineman Roderick Tinsley(Soperton, Ga.) as the Georgia 811 "Lineman of the Week."
Tinsley was a key factor in Georgia Southern's FCS quarterfinal round victory over the Wofford Terriers. With a career best nine tackles, two forced fumbles and a sack, Tinsley helped Georgia Southern move on to the FCS Semifinals for the first time since 2002.
Eagle defensive lineman John Douglas (Augusta, Ga.) finished second with 38.9 percent of the fan votes after recording a three tackles, forcing a fumble and recovering a forced fumble for a touchdown.
