Robert Brown Earns Weekly SoCon Honors
STATESBORO, Ga. - Robert Brown was named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday, October 10th. The sophomore B-Back ran for a season-high 178 yards on the ground and caught two passes for 29 yards in the 28-27 win over Chattanooga at Paulson Stadium.
Brown averaged 10.5 yards per carry and accounted for over half of Georgia Southern's total rushing yards. His long run of 68 yards set up the Eagles first scoring drive in the second quarter.
The Georgia Southern Football team continues a three-game homestand next Saturday against Furman. Kickoff for the SoCon TV Network televised game is set for 3 p.m. at Paulson Stadium.
