Three Football Practices Left in Fall Camp
STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Football team has just three practices left in fall camp after an afternoon session on the banks of "Beautiful Eagle Creek." The Eagles opened the day with work on special teams and then followed with 35 minutes of individual and position periods. The rest of the day finished with team offense vs defense sessions and skelly work.
Head Coach Jeff Monken talked about how fall camp has gone this season in an interview with Eagle Vision."I think our guys are doing a good job with fighting through the heat. We have made it tough on them, and this is a difficult environment when it is close to 100 degrees. Our guys have done a great job and have really gotten acclimated to it. I am really pleased with the way they are pushing themselves and putting forth a great effort."
The Eagles practice two more times at the football practice fields and once at Paulson Stadium on Saturday. Meet the Eagles with all fall sports teams will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday on the field at Paulson. The event will allow fans to get autographs and receive schedule posters for the fall sports.
