STATESBORO, Ga. -
The Georgia Southern football team presented the five team awards as well as the numerous All-American and Southern Conference honors at Saturday's year-end banquet.

Jerick McKinnon received the Iron Works Dedacation and Team MVP Awards, while John Stevenson was presented with the Erk Russell Award. Montay Crockett received the Offensive Scout Award, and Josh Rowe took home the Defensive Scout Award.

McKinnon, who rushed for 1,817 yards and 20 touchdowns, finished third in school history in single season rushing yards and combined with Dominique Swope to rush for over 3,000 yards and help the Eagles lead the FCS in rushing.

Stevenson, a former walk-on, took full advantage of his new starting role in the linebacker corps. The senior was the first Eagle to total over 100 tackles since 2010 and finished with a team-best 103 stops.
