PAULSON STADIUM PARKING Address: 203 Lanier Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458
Parking for fans at Paulson Stadium requires a special parking pass, obtained by acquiring Eagle Fund Priority Points and season parking pass orders. For more information on donating to the Eagle Fund, visit http://ringsanddiplomas.com/fund/.
For guests with Paulson parking passes and media members, please enter the Paulson Stadium parking lot off Lanier Drive.
Prior to parking at Paulson Stadium, please locate your assigned spot using the parking map provided in your membership renewal from earlier this year or by viewing the map on the GSU Athletic Foundation at www.ringsanddiplomas.com.
Each assigned space will be protected for that donor's exclusive use from 8:00 a.m. the morning of a game until the conclusion of the game. If your space is located on the "water tower" side of the parking lot, consider entering the parking lot from the Malecki Drive entrance near the water tower. Malecki Drive is accessible only from the Akins Blvd. entrance. Those parking on the press box side of the stadium should enter on Lanier Drive near the Cowart Building/Athletics Ticket Office. Please note: Your parking spot will be either on the "Top" or "Bottom" of a row. Please enter your assigned area with this in mind.
Parking spaces are in a square formation which may require you to enter your spot using a "three-point" turn when the lot is full. Be careful and go slow.
If you park in the wrong space and we are unable to locate you, your vehicle will be towed at your expense.
If you arrive at Paulson Stadium and find another person's vehicle in your assigned space, please find a security officer to handle the situation. DO NOT simply park your vehicle in the wrong space. If this occurs we will most likely end up towing the person who parked in your space and you.
MOTORIZED VEHICLE REGULATIONS
Operators of motorized vehicles in the Paulson Stadium parking lot must be licensed drivers 16 years of age or older.
All regulations pertaining to the legal operation of motorized vehicles, including DUI and open container laws, will be enforced.
Motorized vehicles operated after sunset must have and use headlights and taillights.
FREE PARKING
Free parking is available at the Russell Student Union and Recreation Activity Center (RAC) parking lots. The RAC lot is located on Akins Blvd. within walking distance to Paulson Stadium. Both entrances to the lot will be open for traffic from Forest Drive or the 301 Bypass (Veteran's Memorial Parkway). Spaces may be limited in the RAC lot.
The parking lot at the Russell Student Union (behind the University Store) is accessible from GA Hwy. 67 and the Game Day Shuttle Service begins at this location in front of the University Store.
EAGLE FUND DONORS GENERAL ADMISSION PARKING
General Admission parking for Eagle Fund donors is available in the lower portion of the Performing Arts Center lower lot (Lot #2 on Game Day Shuttle Map, lower section only), located at 874 Plant Drive, near the intersection of Chandler Road and Plant Drive and the Ceramics Studio parking lot (Lot #3). A General Admission hang tag is required and the hang tags are valid for either General Admission Lot. Hang tags will be provided to True Blue level members and above who choose not to purchase Paulson Stadium Parking.
LOST PARKING PASSES
"Lost" season parking passes will be replaced for a fee of $20. In the event that a pass is lost and then found, please be aware that attempting to use multiple passes to access the parking lot may result in towing or forfeiture of future parking opportunities.
INFORMATION ON HANDICAP PARKING
For the 2012 Football season, handicap parking at Paulson Stadium will only be available to current Eagle Fund members who meet the minimum $300 donation requirement and purchase a parking pass for $100.
In order to obtain a handicap parking pass, you must register your state-issued handicap parking hangtag with the GSU Athletic Foundation office. There are 72 spots designated for handicap parking (Cowart Building parking lot and on the side of the preferred parking lot), and they will be sold on a first-come, first served basis. Handicap spaces are available for the upcoming season and may be reserved by calling 912-478-5520.
For both fans and guests who plan to park in the other lots, Georgia Southern game day shuttles are handicap and wheelchair accessible.
POST-GAME STADIUM EXIT ROUTES
For the safety of fans leaving Paulson Stadium after games, new exit routes have been put in place. Lanier Drive directly in front of the Cowart Building will be closed completely and from Akins Blvd. traveling West, only game day shuttle bus traffic will be allowed on Forest Drive.
Exiting from Malecki Drive traveling East, vehicles will be directed to make a left turn onto Chandler Road to exit the Stadium area. Vehicles exiting on the roadway on the pressbox side of the Stadium will be directed to make right turns only onto Lanier Drive with access to Veterans Memorial Parkway (Hwy. 301 Bypass).
Exiting from Malecki Drive traveling West, vehicles will be directed to make a right turn onto Akins Blvd. and proceed to Forest Drive for access to U.S. Hwy 301. From the RAC parking lot, vehicles will exit the lot near the Eugene M. Bishop Alumni Center and will be directed to make a right turn to proceed to the traffic signal at Veterans Memorial Parkway (Hwy. 301 Bypass).
Vehicles exiting from the parking lot at the Performing Arts will be directed to make a left turn onto Chandler Road and travel toward Fair Road/Ga. Hwy. 67.
GAME DAY SHUTTLES
Begins 2.5 hours prior to kickoff, ends 1 hour after official game end time
For the convenience of Georgia Southern fans and guests, a free Shuttle service is offered on game days. Beginning 2.5 hours prior to kickoff and running 1 hour after the official game end time, the Game Day Shuttle Service services a five-stop route from the Russell Student Union (#1) to the stop near the corner of Forest and Plant Drives (#2). The third stop is near the circle entrance of the Nursing/Chemistry Building (#3), directly across from the Ceramics/Sculpture Building lot (parking lot 33, Eagle Fund General Admission Parking). The fourth stop is near the Recreation Activity Center on Akins Blvd. (#4). The final stop brings fans to the northwest corner of Paulson Stadium (#5). The shuttle returns to the Russell Student Union.
"Football Shuttle Stop" signs are posted so fans may identify the shuttle pick-up and drop-off locations. Average round trip is 17-20 minutes depending on traffic. From the Russell Union shuttle stop, it would not be unreasonable to plan for a 15-minute travel time prior to the game.
Most of the buses in the shuttle fleet are handicap accessible with wheelchair lifts.
The Game Day Shuttle map is available.
