Football Pep Rally Set for Thursday
STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern University will be sponsoring a pep rally to kick off the 2007 football season. The pep rally will take place Thursday, September 6th at 8:30 p.m. at the Russell Union Rotunda.
“The pep rally is an event we would like to see become an annual tradition,” said Leslie Spoon, coordinator of the Office of Spirit and Tradition. “It’s a great opportunity for all students to come together and show their support and school spirit as we kickoff the 2007 football season.”
University President Dr. Bruce Grube, head football coach Chris Hatcher, the Cheerleaders, GUS and Southern Pride will all be present.
The Eagles square off against West Georgia to start the 2007 season. Kickoff at Paulsen Stadium on Saturday, September 8th is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The pep rally is sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management. Georgia Southern University welcomes all Eagle fans to attend.
At 7 p.m. the Bulloch County Eagle Club Rally will take place at the Union. The event will feature the University Store, Wildlife Center, Centennial Video, Coach Chris Hatcher and University President Dr. Bruce Grube. To order tickets contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (912) 681-5691.
