SoCon Announces All-Freshman Football Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Southern Conference football coaches have selected a 25-player all-freshman team, comprised of 11 offensive, 11 defensive and three special teams players. The league announced the selections today in tandem with the All-Conference teams.

Chattanooga led the way with five players honored, followed by three from Furman, Georgia Southern, Samford, Western Carolina and Wofford. The Citadel and Elon each had two players garner all-freshman honors, while Appalachian State had one honoree.

Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players in the voting process.
