Georgia Southern Visits Eastern Kentucky
STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Men's Basketball heads to Richmond, Kentucky for the return leg of a home-and-home series against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday night, December 10th at 7 p.m. The Eagles look to win their third consecutive game on Saturday night after downing Chattanooga and Appalachian State to go 2-0 in league play.
Georgia Southern (3-4, 2-0 SoCon) also looks to snap a program-long 22-game skid away from Hanner Fieldhouse. The last road win for Georgia Southern was on February 22nd, 2010, an 83-77 victory over Samford.
Saturday's game, which is being shown online by OVCSports.tv, can also be seen on Eagle Vision for current subscribers to the service. The Georgia Southern Radio Network will also provide coverage of the game locally on 103.7-FM The Boomer.
Senior Ben Drayton III (St. Marys, Ga.) scored 18 points last season for the Eagles in a 79-73 loss to Eastern Kentucky. The Eagles scored 52 second half points, but it wasn't enough to erase a 17-point halftime deficit back on January 2nd, 2011.
