C.J. Reed Named Mid-Major Player of the Week
PEORIA, ILL. – With 22 points against Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon, senior C.J. Reed picked up Mid-Major Player of the Week honors from CollegeSportsMadness.com. The senior point guard made five-of-nine shooting from downtown leading the Eagles to a 78-73 win over the Hokies at Cassell Coliseum.
Reed was also named SoCon Player of the Week by the website. The accolades add to the senior’s mantle which includes 2010-11 National HBCU Player of the Year and 2010-11 MEAC Player of the Year honors.
The Eagles visit Bradley inside the Peoria Civic Center on Monday night at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast across the Georgia Southern Radio Network and online at GSEagles.com.
