Fields, Foreman Named to Islander All-Tournament Team

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas --- The Georgia Southern men’s basketball team had two of its members named to the Flint Hills Resources/Islander Invitational All-Tournament team.

Earning recognition are seniors Dwayne Foreman (Apopka, Fla.) and Matthew Fields (Jacksonville, Fla.).

Foreman averaged 9.5 points and 6.5 assists in the Eagles’ two contests, including 12 against No. 25 Rhode Island. He shot 4-for-8 from 3-point territory.

Fields ranked second behind Graham on the team in scoring at 12.5 ppg and paced the squad with 8.5 rebounds per outing. He set a new personal best with 18 points against No. 25 Rhode Island and tied his career high with 10 boards vs. TAMUCC.

Georgia Southern went 1-1 on the weekend, losing 85-80 in the championship game to nationally ranked URI.
