Victor Roache to Compete in TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby
OMAHA, Neb. - Georgia Southern Baseball's Victor Roache has been selected to participate in the 2011 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby. The derby features eight of the nation's top college home run hitters and will be played at the site of the College World Series, TD Ameritrade Park.
The home run derby is an elimination-style event and will take place this Saturday, July 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. The derby will be aired by CBS on Sunday, July 3rd, at 2 p.m.
Roache led the nation in home runs with 30 and set single-season records for Georgia Southern and the Southern Conference in the process. The Ypsilanti, Mich., native was the Southern Conference Player of the Year and earned five All-American honors.
