Baseball Eagles Hit the Road Running at 6 a.m.
STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Eagle baseball team began their fall workouts before sunrise this morning with the traditional "Snooky's Run." The long distance run is a timed event and is annually the first scheduled workout for the team each year. Freshman Win Lee (Statesboro, Ga.) was this year's winner with an impressive time of 14 minutes and 43 seconds.
Today will also mark the first day of individual practice sessions leading up to the start of Fall Team Practice on September 19th. Along with individual practice sessions, players will participate in strength and conditioning workouts each weekday throughout the Fall Semester. The team returns 21 players from last season's Southern Conference Tournament Championship team that competed in the NCAA Columbia Regional.
