Victor Roache Adds Louisville Slugger All-America Honors to List of Accolades
Roache, the Southern Conference Player of the Year, hit .327 with nine doubles, two triples, 30 homers and 83 RBI for a .789 slugging percentage this year and has an opportunity to add to those number in the Columbia Regional.
The Ypsilanti, Mich., native set Georgia Southern single-season and Southern Conference home run records and ended the regular season with 29 long balls. He passed Ben Abner (1984) of Georgia Southern for the school standard and Ben Waring (2007) of Wofford for the SoCon mark as both hit 27 homers in their respective seasons. He hit his 30th big fly during the Eagles SoCon Championship run.
