NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern junior Steven Fisk was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year, while Jake Storey and Archer Price joined him on the All-Sun Belt team, the conference announced today. 

The threesome earns all-league honors for the second consecutive season in a vote conducted by the conference's head coaches. Storey was named first-team all-league while Price was named second-team all-conference.

Recently named to the PING All-Southeast Region Team, Fisk shot 72 or better in 26 of 33 rounds this season and finished in the top-10 in seven of 10 events, including three top-5s and two wins. He was a semifinalist for the Division I Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award, and was named to the Haskins Award Watch List and the Ben Hogan Award Watch List.

Named Sun Belt Golfer of the Week three times this season, Fisk became the 13th player in college golf history to shoot 60, reaching the mark in the second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in October, and he narrowly missed a 16-footer for birdie on his final hole for 59. His 60 was a school and course record, and he followed that round with a 67 to tie for third.

Last season's Sun Belt Player of the Year, Storey ranked second in the SBC in scoring average and posted four top-5 finishes, including two wins, and seven top-20 outings. The senior was named SBC Golfer of the Week March 15 and shot 72 or lower in 17 of 32 rounds, including 14 of 20 in the spring.

Price, a repeat selection to the all-conference second team, ranked fifth in the SBC in scoring average and notched three top-10 and six top-20 finishes. He shot 72 or better in 17 of 32 rounds.

Georgia Southern finished second in the Sun Belt Championship and returns seven lettermen, including Fisk, to the 2018-19 team.
