Players Returning
Justice Hansen, who threw for almost 4,000 yards and 37 touchdowns against just 16 interceptions with seven rushing touchdowns, returns at quarterback and should be one of the preseason favorites for Sun Belt Player of the Year. Warren Wand, who was the team's leading rusher with 715 yards, also returns. The Red Wolves lost Chris Murray and Blake Mack, who combined for 16 scoring receptions, but still have a dangerous stable for Hansen to play with. Leading tackle Kyle Wilson and former Sun Belt Player of the Year Ja'von Rolland-Jones are gone, leaving head coach Blake Anderson with some big holes to fill on that side of the ball.
Series History
Arkansas State leads the series 2-1 after rolling past the Eagles 43-25 last year in Statesboro. GS is 0-2 against the Red Wolves since joining the Sun Belt as their only win in the series came in the 1986 NCAA I-AA National Championship Game in Tacoma, Washington.
