Georgia Southern travels to the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate March 5-6 in Aiken, S.C. The 54-hole tournament takes place at the Palmetto Golf Club, established in 1892 and recognized as the oldest golf course in the United States.

The tournament has become a regular stop for the Eagles, who have competed in the event in each of the last three seasons. The Eagles placed eighth in 2015, tied for sixth in 2016 and finished sixth last season.

The Eagles are coming off an eighth-place finish in the SunTrust Gator Invitational Feb. 18, which featured six teams ranked in the top-35 and 15 individuals ranked in the top-100. Steven Fisk tied for sixth, has finished every event this season in the top-10, including two wins, and has shot under par in 14 of 15 rounds in the campaign. Jake Storey carded a 73 and tied for 16th, the 13th top-20 of the senior's career.

Ranked third by Golfstat, Fisk has been named to the Haskins Award Watch List and the Ben Hogan Award Watch List and moved up to second on the Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking. He became the 13th player in college golf history to shoot 60, reaching the mark in the second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in October, and he narrowly missed a 16-footer for birdie on his final hole for 59. His 60 was a school and course record, and he followed that round with a 67 to tie for third.

Georgia Southern has finished in the top-6 in eight of its last 11 tournaments, dating back to last season..

Fisk, Price, Storey and Barron have been in the lineup for the last 16 tournaments, dating back to the start of the 2016-17 campaign.

Price makes his 37th career start this week, Fisk will make his 29th career start and Jake Storey is in the lineup for the 33rdt time. Barron plays in his 18th tournament and has played in every event in his young career. Junior Crawford Simmons will make his first career start for the Eagles.

The Eagles are paired with Temple and UAB for Monday's first two rounds and will tee off holes 4-6.

Following the Palmetto, Georgia Southern hosts its annual tournament, The Schenkel Invitational, March 16-18 at Forest Heights Country Club.
