STATESBORO, Ga. – The final road weekend before returning home to the friendly confines of the Wallis Tennis Center, began on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Eagles took on the 49ers in the first match of Charlotte's doubleheader. Charlotte would defeat the Eagles 6-1 improving their record to 6-6 on the season. The Eagles fell to 1-8 and are looking to snap a two match skid tomorrow against Winthrop.

Diego Finkelstein provided a spark for the Eagles in doubles play, winning their match 6-2 and swinging the momentum the Eagles way. Matches on courts two and three went back and forth, but the Eagles could not secure the doubles point.
Landin continued his success in singles play winning a three set battle over Constandinos Christoforou, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3. The Three set victory on court two pushed the Eagles back to within a point. The 49ers continued to pressure the Eagles and would secure a 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon.
