Eagles Cap off Road Stint in the Carolina's

Eagles take on Charlotte and Winthrop this weekend
STATESBORO, Ga. – For the final time before returning to the friendly confines of the Wallis Tennis Center, the Georgia Southern men's tennis team will head to the Carolinas to face off against Charlotte and Winthrop. The Eagles will be looking to conclude the road trip with a strong performance before hosting four matches next weekend.
Charlotte enters play on Saturday with a 5-6 record, and falling to No. 24 South Carolina, Louisville, Georgia State, and North Florida. Last season the Eagles defeated the 49ers 5-2, inside the Wallis Tennis Center, as part of a seven match winning streak.
Sunday the Eagles will travel to Rock Hill, South Carolina to compete against Winthrop in the final match this month. The Winthrop Eagles enter play with a 0-4 record and have not played since February 17th.
Freshman Pascal Wagemaker will look to continue his success so far this season. The freshman has posted a 3-2 record in dual match play, with all three of his wins coming in straight sets. He has also posted a 2-2 record in doubles play with partners Stefano Di Aloy and Santiago Suarez.

The Eagles currently lead the series 2-1 over Charlotte, with the last match being a 5-2 victory for the Blue and White at home.
Winthrop currently leads the series 7-5 over the Eagles, with the last match being a 4-3 victory for the Blue and White at home.
