STATESBORO, Ga. – Mark your calendars as National Signing Day is quickly approaching and the Georgia Southern Athletics Department has announced its plans for the big day. The Department will once again be broadcasting a live football signing day show via Facebook from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 7, college football's national signing day. The broadcast will also be shown on ESPN3, a first for the Eagle Nation.
 
Our multi-media team will be stationed in the Ted Smith Family Football Center beginning at 7 a.m. ET, ready to announce when the first NLIs come in. The first place to read about the new signees will be GSEagles.com, the @GSAthletics_FB Twitter feed and the official Georgia Southern Athletics Page (https://www.facebook.com/GSAthletics/). Fans are also encouraged to follow head coach @Chadlunsford and @GATALifestyle on Twitter for an inside look on the day.
 
GS fans can watch the Eagles Live presented by AT&T for free through Facebook Live. Facebook Live is a free feature within Facebook where fans can watch live video. Fans must "like" the official Georgia Southern Athletics Page (https://www.facebook.com/GSAthletics/) to have the video show up in their feed and get notifications of future shows. The show will remained archived on the page, unlike with other live streaming aps. It will also be available on the Watch ESPN app and ESPN3.
 
The show will feature live interviews with head coach Chad Lunsford and the other 10 GS coaches, along with video highlights and biographical information of each football signee. The Voice of the Eagles, Danny Reed, serves as the host of the show and will be joined by other members of the Georgia Southern Sports Network, including Terry Harvin and Colin Lacy.
 
Eagle fans can read about each of the new signees on GSEagles.com as their bios will be added as the day goes along. Graphics will also be posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for those with accounts on each platform. Later in the evening, Georgia Southern alumni and fans are invited to attend a Signing Day Celebration to meet the new coaching staff and learn about the newest signing class at the Hall on Vine, site of last year's celebration!
 
Tickets are $10 for all and will be sold at the door starting at 5:30 p.m. The ticket will include food and drinks for the evening and patrons attending can enjoy the Chris Mitchell Band until the program begins at 6:30 p.m.
