STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Sports Properties announced today that Savannah affiliate WSAV-TV, the area's leader in local sports broadcasting, will televise four men's basketball games in its new season of live play-by-play sports with The Blitz Basketball Series, featuring the Georgia Southern Eagles.
Home games against Little Rock Jan. 6, UTA Jan. 27, Louisiana Feb. 10, and Troy March 3, will air live on WSAV-CW, and Blue White Weekly will also be broadcast on WSAV-CW. In addition, Georgia Southern home games vs. Texas State (Jan. 25) and ULM (Feb. 8) have been added to the ESPN3 lineup.

WSAV lead sports anchor Greg Talbott is back to provide play-by-play for another season. WSAV News Reporter Andrew Davis will provide color commentary.
"I'm so excited that WSAV is the local TV home of Eagle Basketball again! With all their returning talent, this Georgia Southern squad is a potential NCAA Tournament team, and putting their journey on live TV is a privilege for us," said Talbott.
The Blitz Basketball Series is part of the WSAV Blitz lineup, which over the past seven years has grown to include its highly-successful Thursday Night Blitz Game of the Week series of live high school games, The Friday Night Blitz and Saturday Blitz Extra weekly football wrap up shows and The Tuesday Blitz Countdown, the area's only high school football television roundtable.
Georgia Southern plays its first home game in nearly a month when the Eagles play host to Arkansas State Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
