STATESBORO, GA. - Georgia Southern Rifle opens the stretch-run of the 2017-18 season this weekend with the 2018 GATA and Senior Day Match on Saturday morning. The Eagles welcome The Citadel and Wofford to the Shooting Sports Education Center for the 8 a.m. match.

Saturday's match will be the final home outing for seniors
Jennifer Middlebrook and
Chastity Price. The pair will be honored at the match's halftime break.
Saturday's GATA Match will bring Georgia Southern student-athletes from out-of-season sports to the range to experience Rifle competition. Student-athletes will wear green for each GATA match this season for mental health awareness.
The Eagles will have three more outings on the road following Saturday's match. Georgia Southern travels to Wofford in two weeks' time and competes in the NCAA Qualifier on February 17th in Charleston. The 2018 Southern Conference Championships wrap-up the season as the Eagles will defend their SoCon Air Rifle Championship from 2017.
