Track and Field Gets an Upgrade

Eagles will have a new surface to run on in 2017

STATESBORO, Ga. – Fans coming out to Eagle Field and its surrounding track this fall may have noticed a change as the track has gotten an update. The new running surface is now a red, full-pour polyurethane surface that allows athletes to perform at their highest level white training or in competition.

Some notable schools that have already installed this product are: Wisconsin, Samford, US Coast Guard Academy, UVA, Michigan, NC State, UNC, and Wake Forest.

The Beynon BSS 1000 Running Track and Field Surface is durable enough to resist the roughest weather and the toughest competition with no advanced maintenance. The bio-engineered force reduction layer integrates very fine SBR rubber, with environmentally friendly polyurethane to create an impermeable shock-absorbing cushion.

The surfaces two layer installation helps reduce force percentages anywhere from 35 – 50 percent. The 5 MM wear layer is applied with the EPDM Broadcast into 2-C polyurethane. This helps the track withstand even the harshest weather.
