Radio Affiliates Announced For 2017 Football Season

List includes networks for live games and coach's shows

11803STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Athletics Department and its multimedia partner, Learfield, announced Wednesday the 2017 list of radio affiliates for the upcoming football season, which includes live radio broadcasts as well as the coach's show.

The affiliate list has 21 different stations on it and is the largest in Georgia Southern Football history. The affiliate stations will reach approximately 75 percent of the state of Georgia.

The stations reach as far north as Dalton and reach as far south as Jacksonville. The affiliate list now also includes a station that reaches into Florida. Jacksonville has a population of approximately 881,000 and is the highest populated city in the state of Florida.

Macon and Savannah are the largest Georgia cities on the list and are home to three of the stations. Other cities with stations include Dublin, Waycross and Jesup.

All football games, both home and away, can be heard on the Georgia Southern Sports Network with Danny Reed calling the action, Terry Harvin providing the color, and Russ Brown roaming the sidelines. The pre-game show, hosted by The Big Guy, Frank Sulkowski, Colin Lacy, and Russ Brown, will take place two hours before kickoff.

The first football game will take place this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (ET) against No. 12 Auburn. The game can be heard on the Georgia Southern Sports Network and can be seen on the SEC Network. The first home game is on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. against New Hampshire.
