STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern volleyball coach
Dustin Wood announced today that the Eagles' exhibition match against Georgia College Saturday has been moved from Hanner Fieldhouse to the Recreation Activity Center (RAC).
The match will start at 5 p.m. in the MAC Gymnasium, and admission is free.
Georgia Southern tied for second in the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference in 2016, and the Eagles return four of their seven starters and 14 letterwinners to the 2017 team.
The Georgia College volleyball program is in its fifth year of existence, and the Bobcats went 17-14 overall last season while posting an 8-10 record in the Peach Belt Conference.
Season tickets sales for Georgia Southern volleyball are currently underway, and one $40 season ticket covers general admission seating for all home matches. Parking is free.
GS will open the campaign at the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational Aug. 25. The Eagles host two tournaments - the Bash in the Boro Sept. 1-2 and the GATA Challenge Sept. 8-9.
