STATESBORO - The Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced Tuesday the kick times for several early season football contests, including Georgia Southern's season opener at Auburn. The Eagles and Tigers will kick off at 6:30 p.m. (Central)/7:30 p.m. (Eastern) on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be shown on the SEC Network and streamed through the WatchESPN app.
Georgia Southern and Auburn have met just one previous time on the gridiron with the Tigers winning that game 32-17 to open the 1991 season. That game was played in front of 79,124 fans, still the 10th-largest crowd GS has ever played in front of.
This will be GS's first appearance on the SEC Network.
