Sun Belt Media Day Central

NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern football head coach Tyson Summers, running back Wesley Fields and linebacker Chris DeLaRosa are in New Orleans representing the Eagles at the annual Sun Belt Conference Football Media Day which takes place Monday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

After arriving on Saturday, the players immediately got a taste of the town, sampling some local food and hospitality. On Sunday, the group again strolled around town enjoying beignets and seeing the sights before the conference's Fais-DoDo party at Mardi Gras World's Grand Oaks Mansion. Everyone was treated to famous Louisiana seafood and an authentic Zydeco music experience to officially start the weekend.

The real action begins Monday as the three will head to the Dome for the annual media day. Georgia Southern's busy schedule begins at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on Monday and is non-stop throughout the morning and into the afternoon. Additionally, all three will be on Georgia Southern's Facebook Page (Facebook.com/GSAthletics), with Coach Summers going at 9:15 a.m. (CT) and the players at 10:30 a.m. (CT) for a live chat with Eagle Nation.
