We are especially proud to support the Celebrate Georgia Agriculture game and appreciate the opportunity to share the story of agriculture-- our state's No.1 industry-- with Georgia Southern fans, students and all of Georgia."
This past year, Georgia Farm Bureau and Georgia Southern Sports Properties worked closely to plan and execute "Celebrate Agriculture Day" which took place during Georgia Southern's football game versus rival Appalachian State on October 27th. The Ag Game aimed to educate fans on Georgia's largest industry and celebrate local farmers and all things Georgia grown.
The day proved to be a huge success, with over 20,000 fans attending the Agriculture-themed game, which included the Georgia Farm Bureau Fan Fair and tractor racing.
GFB has been a long-time supporter of Georgia Southern Athletics, dating back to Bobby Underwood (Bulloch County Agency Manager), who was a member of the "Dirty Dozen". His son, Robert Underwood went on to play linebacker on the 1985 and 1986 National Championship teams.
