Players Returning
The Auburn Tigers will be looking to go bowling for the fifth consecutive season amongst the tough competition of the SEC. Leading the offense this season for the Tigers will be sophomore and JUCO transfer, Jarrett Stidham. Stidham was the nation's top-rated dual-threat signal caller coming out of junior college. During his true freshman season at Baylor, Stidham was 75 for 109, for 1,265 yards and 12 TDs. Auburn also returns the SEC's leading running back tandem in juniors Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson. The two combined for 2,119 rushing yards in 2016, and averaged an SEC-best 122.4 yards per game last season. Defensive back, Tray Matthews, will continue to lead the No. 7 nationally ranked defense in scoring last season. The Tigers allowed an average of 17.1 points per game, as well as 13.6 points per game during their six-game winning streak.
