STATESBORO, Ga. – Day one of the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships, concluded Friday evening with the first nine events. The events for the day were the Decathlon, Heptathlon, Women's Hammer, Men's Hammer, Women's Javelin, Men's Javelin, Women's Pole Vault, Women's 10,000 Meters, and the Men's 10,000 Meters.

The Eagles began and ended the day with the Women's Hammer Throw.

Alexis Gant, and
Diamond Reese all competed in the event. All three Eagles finished in the top-25, but it was not enough to score for the first day of the tournament. Day two will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Decathlon and conclude with the Women's 3k Steeplechase.

The Blue and White will be looking for a big push during day two, with most scoring opportunities available. Track events will begin at 5:00 p.m. and continue through the day until the conclusion of day two. Stay up to date with live stats and on the GSAthletics_TF twitter page.
