GATA Club to host four Eagle Alumni events in April!

Soccer, softball, swimming, diving and golf alumni are invited back to campus.

STATESBORO, Ga - With April comes some exciting alumni events in Statesboro! Eagle soccer, softball, swimming, diving and golf are all invited back to campus for their alumni weekends! Hosted by the GATA Club, alumni weekends are open to former student-athletes, coaches, equipment managers and trainers and their families.

Men's + women's soccer and softball:  Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22, 2017

Men's and women's soccer alumni are joining forces to host their spring reunion.  Their weekend will kick off with a soccer-tennis tournament on Friday, followed by an after party. Then on Saturday, the day is comprised of golf, alumni soccer matches and a post-game reception. The weekend is hosted in part by the Eagle Soccer Alumni Association. Softball alumni can start their weekend on Friday for happy hour at El Sombrero (Northside location) or join alumni for 'Brunch in the Ballpark' on Saturday morning.  Brunch will then roll into a cheering on the softball team as they host a doubleheader against Texas State. Following the games, lanes have been reserved at The Clubhouse for those who would like to go bowling. The weekend is hosted in part by the Eagle Softball Alumni Association. Swimming and diving:  Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, 2017

Alumni can begin their weekend with happy hour at Gnat's Landing on Friday or on Saturday morning for an 'Alumni Meet.'  Alumni can join fun or be there to cheer on fellow alumni on while swimmers compete in 25s and 50s and divers take on a 2-dive meet! Then, participants will enjoy a brunch on the patio of the Bishop Alumni Center before heading to catch an Eagle Baseball game versus Little Rock. The weekend is hosted in part by the Eagle Swimming and Diving Alumni Association. More information and the event RSVP can be found at GSEagles.com/ESDAA.

Golf: Sunday, April 30, 2017; The Crawford Pro-Am:  Monday, May 1, 2017

Golf alumni are invited to use the golf range and enjoy brunch at the Bennett-Ramsey Golf Center on Sunday morning before teeing off for a 4-ball (2-person teams) golf competition at Forest Heights Country Club. Prizes will be awards the best and the worst teams. The day will conclude with a team dinner at the Bennett-Ramsey Golf Center.  The event is free for alumni who are members of the Fairway Foundation and $50 for those who are non-members.  The weekend is hosted in part by the Fairway Foundation.
