Stefano Di Aloy Named Sun Belt Player of the Week

Di Aloy named player of the week Wednesday
STATESBORO, Ga. – On Wednesday afternoon the Sun Belt Conference named Stefano Di Aloy the Men's Tennis Player of the Week. The Freshman finished this past weekend with a 4-1 record overall, and defeated two conference opponents on route to helping the Eagles get back on track with a 2-1 record. Di Aloy primarily plays in the No. 3 position for singles and the No. 3 position in doubles with partner Artemie Amari.
"I am honored to be player of the week. My team supports me every day and I am proud to be a part of it." Freshman Stefano Di Aloy said.
Di Aloy's 4-1 weekend record included an undefeated 3-0 record in singles play with two conference victories. Di Aloy defeated Jannis Koeke of No. 37 Georgia State in straight sets, which was the first of straight set victories that Stefano would post this weekend. Di Aloy currently holds a 16-8 record overall on the season.
The blue and white will now have the next 10 days off before hosting Coastal Carolina on Senior Day. The Eagles will be looking to become the first team since 1983 to post an undefeated home season record. This past weekend the Eagles also became the first team since the 1999 and 2000 seasons to have back to back winning seasons.
