STATESBORO, Ga. – For the final time before heading to Arlington, Texas for the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships, the Georgia Southern Track and Field team will head to Atlanta to compete in the Georgia Tech Invite. The Eagles are looking to finish off the regular season with a nice showing in state.

"We are looking forward to competing within the state of Georgia in Atlanta this weekend," Head coach
Kelly Carter said. "This will be our last contest before we head to Texas to compete in a conference championship. I'm looking forward to everyone competing well."

Last weekend the Eagles competed in the Gamecock Invitational, in Columbia, South Carolina. The Blue and White would take home multiple top-5 and top-10 finishes, while also moving up in the Sun Belt Conference Standings.
Bailey Willett continued her success in the 800 meter event finishing sixth. Willett continues to sit in third place in the Sun Belt standings after just nearly missing the time she posted at UNF.

During the 5000 meter event six Eagles cracked the top-20.

Follow this quick trip to Atlanta, the Eagles will head to Arlington, Texas to compete in the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships. The two day event will be hosted by UT-Arlington, with events beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST.
