Â
Head coach
Sander Koning earned his 16
th and 17
th wins of the season, surpassing his win total from last season, and giving him the most wins during his tenure. The blue and white will look to become the first team since 1983 to have a perfect record in the friendly confines of the Wallis Tennis Center.

No. 37 GEORGIA STATE – Friday afternoon marked the third of five conference matches the Eagles will play this season. The blue and white traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to face off against the Panthers of Georgia State. The Panthers would jump out to an early lead, following their sweep in doubles play. The Eagles would add a point during singles play, but fall to No. 37 Georgia State 4-1.
Â
"I have to give credit to Georgia State," Head coach
Sander Koning said. "They played very well and were aggressive. That's why they are ranked. They took it to us and we came just short. We had some opportunities to get back in the match, but they shut the door on us."

APPALACHIAN STATE – The Eagles improved to 17-11 on the season surpassing head coach
Sander Koning's win total from last season. The blue and white defeated the Mountaineers 4-1Â for their first victory against Appalachian State since the 2012-2013 season, when the guys won 4-3.
Diego Finkelstein clinched the match for the Eagles with a 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4 victory over his opponent.
Â
"This match was a great battle between two teams," said head coach
Sander Koning. "The score doesn't reflect the fight that was going on. We were down early in doubles, but were able to turn it around at #2 and take the doubles point. In singles we came out well and continued our momentum from doubles. Artemie got off the court early and that always helps. On the other courts App State battled back. Diego played well at the end. He was close to finish it in the second set, but didn't get it. In the third set he decided it was going to be on his terms and served it out well."
