STATESBORO, Ga. – The Savannah State Tiger Relays concluded this past weekend, with the Eagles getting an early jump on setting times for the Outdoor season. The Eagles were one of four Sun Belt teams to compete last weekend.

The blue and white would finish the weekend with multiple top three finishes in events.
Desiree Blunt and
Chasin Gladdis would take first and second in the 100 meter event, while
Bailey Willett and
Jillian Sloane would take first and second in the 400 meters. Tatiyana Rayford placed first in the 100 meter hurdles adding to the list of events the Eagles controlled on Saturday.Â

The field events also had success this weekend.
Twandalette Cotton placed second in the high jump, while teammate
Eugenia Tan placed third in the long jump.
Nia Hill also got on the podium placing first in the triple jump.
Jamelia Owens,
Kelsey Arnold, and
Diamond Reese, swept the podium in the Shot Put event. They were ahead of fourth place finisher and teammate
Alexis Gant.

The Eagles track and field events continued to thrive off of their successful Indoor season. They will look to continue that March 24
th and 25
th at the UNF Spring Break Invite, located in Jacksonville, Florida.
