STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein announced Monday the addition of the University of Arkansas to the Eagles' future football schedule. GS and Arkansas will meet on Sept. 18, 2021 in either Fayetteville, Arkansas, or Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Razorbacks, who compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), went 7-6 last season and fell to Virginia Tech in the Belk Bowl. 

Georgia Southern and Arkansas have never met in football, but the Eagles are no strangers to SEC teams having played 12 games against current members with future games against Auburn (2017) and LSU (2019) on the docket. 

The addition of Arkansas nearly completes the non-conference portion of the 2021 schedule. GS will open the season on Sept. 4 at Houston and will also play at Florida Atlantic on Sept. 25.

Season ticket holders have just over a week left to renew their 2017 tickets before the March 15 deadline. Fans may pre-order new season ticket packages by visiting GSEagles.com/Tickets or by calling 1(800) GSU-WINS during business hours (Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.). They can also stop by the Athletics Ticket Office at 203 Lanier Drive. Season tickets are as low as $75/each for family plan sections and require a minimum purchase of two.
