STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Track and Field team will travel to the Birmingham Crossplex for the second week in a row, to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships.
 
Events will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning and will continue all day with the final event starting at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday's events will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 4:15 p.m. The awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the events Tuesday afternoon.
 
"We are really excited about heading to Birmingham and competing in the Indoor Championships," head coach Kelly Carter said. "These ladies have trained hard over the past few months and we are ready to compete. We are looking to continue the path we have started this season and build upon each week."

The Eagles traveled to the Birmingham Crossplex to compete in the Samford Invite and Multi last weekend. Two Eagles broke school records with Ellunde Montgomery breaking the mile record posting a time of 5:04.77, and Ashton Lord breaking the schools 5000m record. Lord is currently in sixth place in the 5000m event after posting a time of 18:07.85 at the Wake Forest Invitational.
