Leaderboard/Live scoring

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jake Storey, Steven Fisk and Archer Price are in the top-20, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team is sixth after the first two rounds of the SunTrust Gator Invitational Saturday at Mark Bostick Golf Course.

The Eagles (+20) are two strokes behind Florida State (+18) and four back of Jacksonville (+16). Arkansas (+6) leads the field, which features nine teams ranked in the top-40 in the country, including No. 2 Florida.

Storey (T11) shot 74-69, Fisk (T19) carded a 71-74 and Price (T19) posted a 74-71. Brett Barron shot 73-74, and Jonas Vaisanen carded 79-76.

The story
Round 2
Storey rolled in a team-leading five birdies in the round and played his first 13 holes 4-under. Price finished strong with two birdies and seven pars on his final nine holes of the day. Fisk had 10 straight pars in the middle of his round, and Barron scored par or better on seven straight holes in the middle of his round before capping the day with four straight pars.

Round 1
Fisk struggled a bit out of the gate with bogeys on three of his first five holes, but he got back on track by birdieing holes 1 and 3 and ran off 10 straight pars to finish the round. Barron birdied his first hole of the day and played a 10-hole stretch in the middle of the round 2-under. Storey birdied two of his first three holes of the tournament as he played his first nine holes 2-under, while Price played a 10-hole stretch at 1-under par.

Quotables from head coach Carter Collins
"This team is starting to realize how good we can be, and it's fun to watch their progress. We didn't finish either round off the way we wanted, but even with those stumbles, we are just outside the top-5 in one of the toughest fields in the country. We have a great opportunity to play well tomorrow and fly up the jumbled leaderboard."

Next up
The Eagles tee it up in the third and final round tomorrow. GS is paired with Florida State and Jacksonville and will start on hole 1 at 8:45 a.m.
