STATESBORO, Ga. – On Wednesday the Sun Belt Conference named Ashton Lord its Women's Track Athlete of the Week. The senior from Douglasville, Georgia has broken two records already this season and was close to breaking a third.
 
Lord broke the school record for the 5000m event posting a time of 18:12.18 at the Samford Invite and Multi last weekend. Her time was good enough for her to take home third place in the event. She has continued her success from the first meet of the season breaking her second school record of the year.
 
She broke the 3000m school record at the UNCG Dual Meet and was one of three Eagles to do so on the day. Lord currently sits in sixth place in the 5000m after posting a converted time of 18:07.85 at the Wake forest Invitational.
 
Lord and the Eagles are looking to continue the success that they have been having at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
