NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - The Florida International University women's swimming and diving team picked up a 148-94 dual meet win over visiting Georgia Southern University on Thursday afternoon at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center in North Miami, Fla.
Florida International, which was ranked eighth in the latest CollegeSwimming.com mid-major poll, individually captured all 13 events in the meet, with Georgia Southern swimmers getting the opportunity to compete in many different events than they had in earlier meets this season.
The meet is part of the Eagles' training trip over the break. The team arrived in South Florida on Tuesday and will be training through the weekend.Â
"Overall, I was very pleased with the efforts from all of our girls," Head Coach Laura Thomas said. "We are in the middle of a tough training camp and everyone came out and raced. We executed the little things that we have been working on in practice, which will make us faster in the end. On the diving side, we also executed well, performing some new dives."
