Georgia Southern competes in its second event of the season as the Eagles travel to the Fighting Irish Intercollegiate Oct. 8-9. GS played in the tournament in the 2013-14 season opener and finished fourth.
The Eagles are coming off a fifth-place finish in the 2017-18 season opener, the Shoal Creek Invitational. Steven Fisk shot 4-under and placed sixth, while Archer Price shot 1-under and tied for 11th. It was the 14th top-20 finish of Fisk's career and the 10th time the junior has placed in the top-10. Priced finished in the top-20 for the 11th time in his career.
Price makes his 33rd career start, Fisk will make his 25th career start and Storey is in the lineup for the 29th time. Barron plays in his 14th tournament and has played in every event in his short career, while Alakulppi makes his sixth career start. Fisk, Price, Storey and Barron have been in the lineup for the last 12 tournaments, dating back to the start of the 2016-17 campaign.
Georgia Southern has finished in the top-6 in six of its last seven tournaments, dating back to last season.
The Eagles are paired with tourney host Notre Dame and Xavier and will tee off holes 1-4 in an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start Sunday.
