BOONE, N.C. – Behind a 29th place finish from
Rebecca Parker, Georgia Southern Cross Country placed ninth in the 2017 Sun Belt Cross Country Championships. The Eagles covered the 5K course in 1:35.01. Parker led the team with a time of 18:40.0 with the top five Eagles finishing over a span of 31 seconds.
With Georgia State's sixth place finish on Saturday, the Panthers earned a point in the Southern vs. State Rivalry Series. The Panthers now lead 2.5 to 0.5.
