GS has a quick turnaround and caps the fall at the Idle Hour Collegiate in Macon, Ga. Oct. 30-31. GS will use the same lineup as the previous four events, and junior Ansley Bowman will compete in her 21st career tournament.
The Eagles are coming off a second-place showing at the Terrier Intercollegiate last week. GS shot a season-low 295 in the final round and finished eight strokes behind tournament champion High Point.
Natalie Petersen posted the team's first round under par with a 71 in the first round and shot 73 in the second to tie for second. It was the freshman's second consecutive top-20 finish.
Petersen was one of four Eagles in the top-20 asÂ
Sarah Noonan tied for seventh,
Ansley Bowman tied for 12th and
Ella Ofstedahl tied for 15th.
Georgia Southern finished second in the tournament with 22 birdies and also placed second in par-4 and par-5 scoring for the week.
