STATESBORO, Ga. – For the first time in program history, the Georgia Southern Athletics Department will be broadcasting a live football signing day show via Facebook this Wednesday, Feb. 1, which serves as college football's national signing day.

Our multi-media team will be stationed in the Ted Smith Family Football Center beginning at 7 a.m. ET, ready to announce when the first NLIs come in. Prospects are not officially Eagles until their NLIs are verified by the Georgia Southern compliance team, and as soon as they are, we will post on the official @GSAthletics_FB Twitter feed. Fans are also encouraged to follow head coach @TysonSummersGS and @GATALifestyle on Twitter, as well.

GS fans can watch Eagles Live presented by Beacon Place, for free through Facebook Live. Facebook Live is a free feature within Facebook where fans can watch live video. Fans must "like" the official Georgia Southern Athletics Page (https://www.facebook.com/GSAthletics/) to have the video show up in their feed and get notifications of future shows. The show also remains archived on the page, unlike with other live streaming aps.

The Voice of the Eagles, Danny Reed, serves as the host of the show and will be joined by other members of the Georgia Southern Sports Network. The show will feature live interviews with head coach Tyson Summers and other GS coaches, along with video highlights and biographical information of each football signee. 

Fans can ask questions via Twitter and on Facebook Live. Please send the questions to @GASouthernRadio with a hash tag of #GSSigningDay.

The show starts at 7 a.m. and will run for four hours.

Fans can also read about each new signee on GSEagles.com as the bios of each new member of the team will be added as the day goes along. Graphics will also be posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for those with accounts on each platform.

Following the show, Georgia Southern fans and alumni are invited to attend a special signing day event at The Hall on Vine Summers and his staff will review the 2017 Eagle signees. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 6 p.m.

The event will take place at The Hall (19 E Vine Street) and will be catered by 40 East Grill. Fans are encouraged to arrive when doors open as seating is limited. Admission is $10 per person, which includes a buffet dinner with food from 40 East Grill. Patrons will be responsible for payment of their own beverages.

Patrons attending the event are asked to enter through The Hall and not the main restaurant. The Hall is located on E Vine Street.

Representatives from the Georgia Southern Athletics Ticket Office will be available to answer questions about football season tickets for the upcoming season and assist anyone who would like to renew or make a new purchase.
