STATESBORO, Ga. – The event lady Eagles have been waiting for is back! Georgia Southern's Second Annual Women's Football Clinic, sponsored by East Georgia Regional Medical Center, is set for Saturday, July 16 at Paulson Stadium, Bishop Fieldhouse and the Ted Smith Family Football Center. Registration is now open, but there is a 200-participant limit.

"It was a huge success last year," said Gleen Hart, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Experience. "With the success of the past football season with the GoDaddy Bowl victory, and with hiring Coach Tyson Summers, I'm anticipating an all-time high in excitement, and an all-time high in Georgia Southern football excitement."

The 2016 Women's Football Clinic includes:
- Mix and mingle with other ladies of Eagle Nation
- Special welcome from head football coach Tyson Summers
- Fashion show
- Instruction on the basic rules and strategies of football
- On-field drills led by the Georgia Southern football coaching staff (optional)
- Georgia Southern gift bag with official camp T-shirt
- Door prizes
- Light lunch served at 11:30 a.m., prior to clinic
- Open bar
- Group photo with coaches
- All participants will receive a Georgia Southern seat cushion compliments of CORE Credit Union

It is recommended that all participants dress casually with athletic shirts, shorts and sneakers. Doors open for registration and lunch at Bishop Fieldhouse at 11:30 a.m. The event begins at 12:30 p.m.

"This year, the addition of the turf adds another component to it," Hart said. "We're going to increase the classroom instructional times so the ladies get more hands-on instruction of the in-and-outs of football and terminology and so forth. We're excited about it and looking forward to making it even bigger and better this year, and it should be a good event."

The cost of the clinic is $25 per person (faculty and staff from Georgia Southern are eligible for a discounted rate of $20 per person). All participants must be 18 years of age or older (21 and up with proper ID for the open bar). Returning participants from last year's clinic are eligible for a discount rate of $20 if they register before June 20.

Proceeds from the clinic benefit the Tickets for Kids Program, which gives many local underprivileged youth the opportunity to attend Georgia Southern football, men's and women's basketball, and other Eagle sporting events.

The deadline to register for the 2016 Women's Football Clinic is July 11. Participants must register online and bring payment to clinic. You can register at gseagles.com/wfbc. For more information or question, contact Georgia Southern Marketing at 912-478-1500 or email gswfbc@gmail.com.
