Thursday’s Baseball Game Postponed, Friday Doubleheader Set

Lightning and heavy rains wash out the series opener
STATESBORO, Ga. – The series opener between Georgia Southern and Georgia State has been postponed due to wet weather. The game, scheduled for 2 p.m. was washed out due to heavy rains and a dreary forecast for the remainder of the day.
The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 10 a.m. if the field is deemed playable. The second game of the doubleheader will begin 45 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.
A decision on the status of the field will be determined on Friday morning. Any further changes will be communicated through the Georgia Southern Athletics social media channels and online at GSEagles.com.
