Three Eagle Football Game Times Announced

Sun Belt releases kickoffs for all mid-week contests

STATESBORO - The Sun Belt Conference released today the game times for all seven mid-week football contests this fall, including three Georgia Southern games. 

The Eagles' first mid-week contest will come on Wednesday, Oct. 5 as they travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas, to take on Arkansas State in a game that will kick at 8 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. local time) and be aired on ESPN2.

The final two game times announced are both Thursday night home games in Paulson Stadium. GS will host long-time rival Appalachian State on Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in a game that will televised by ESPNU. The Eagles' Homecoming game against UL Lafayette, set for Nov. 10, will also kick at 7:30 p.m. and be shown live by ESPNU.

Here's a full listing of all seven game times announced Friday:
Wed. Oct. 5 – Georgia Southern @ Arkansas State – 8pm ET/7pm CT – ESPN2
Wed. Oct. 12 – Appalachian State @ UL Lafayette – 8pm ET/7pm CT – ESPN2
Thurs. Oct. 20 - Troy @ South Alabama – 7:30pm ET/6:30pm CT - ESPNU
Thurs. Oct 27 - Appalachian State @ Georgia Southern – 7:30pm ET - ESPNU
Thurs. Nov. 3 - Arkansas State @ Georgia State – 7:30pm ET – ESPNU
Thurs. Nov. 10 –  UL Lafayette @ Georgia Southern – 7:30pm ET – ESPNU
Thurs. Nov. 17 - Arkansas State @ Troy – 9:30pm ET/8:30pm CT - ESPNU

The game times for the remaining three home games (Savannah State, Sept. 3; UL Monroe, Sept. 17; and Troy, Dec. 3), along with the  will be announced at a later date.

The Eagles will open their 2016 schedule on Saturday, Sept. 3 against Savannah State. Football season tickets and parking for the 2016 season are on sale and can be purchased by visiting GSEagles.com/tickets, calling 1-800-GSU-WINS or visiting the Ticket Office Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Cowart Building located at 203 Lanier Drive in Statesboro. Tickets start as low as $75 per person for the season.
