I think we made a couple of mistakes and if we had played a little cleaner, who knows, we could have kept the game within reach. Bottom line is they beat us in all phases. Ryan Cleveland's single in the fourth helped the junior extend his hit streak to 14-straight games. He is 18-for-54 during the streak.
- Georgia Southern's four-hit game was their fewest since February 27th when they scratched the same total in a 3-2 win over Radford to close the Saturday doubleheader. That game lasted just seven innings.

Lawson Humphries took his first collegiate loss, giving up eight hits and five run in 2.0+ innings. The Eagle bullpen was efficient, however, scattering five hits over six innings with one run scored and seven strikeouts.
