Rd. 3 pairingsLAKE WORTH, Fla. – Jonas Vaisanen shot a 69, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team carded a 290 to remain tied for sixth place after the second round of the FAU Slomin Autism Invitational Saturday at the Fountains Country Club North Course.
Vaisanen (-4) moved into a tie for eighth on the individual leaderboard, and the sophomore is two strokes behind five players who are 6-under and tied for first.
Henry Mabbett shot an even-par 71 today, and
Steven Fisk carded a 74.
Archer Price shot a 76, and
Jake Storey finished with a 78.
Georgia Southern (+7) is tied with Murray State, four strokes behind Florida Gulf Coast (+3) in fourth place and two shots back of DePaul (+5) in fifth. Ole Miss (-10) leads the tournament, UConn (-4) is second and Central Florida (-1) is third.
The storyVaisanen shot 69 for the second straight day and posted three birdies and a bogey. He was even at the turn and birdied holes 13 and 18 on the back. Mabbett logged three birdies and played the front nine 2-under. Storey had a team-leading four birdies in his round, and Fisk logged 15 pars.

Next up for the EaglesThe final round is slated for Sunday, and Georgia Southern will tee off hole 1 at 8 a.m. The Eagles are paired with Florida Atlantic and Bethune-Cookman.
